It has been said that learning how to draw is learning how to see. In this course, students will learn proven techniques for seeing, and realistically conveying, a range of subject matter through several drawing methods. Students will learn how to work with charcoal, graphite, a variety of erasers, and different drawing surfaces. They will also learn techniques for working from both 2D and 3D subjects. Drawing can easily be practiced throughout one’s life without the need for large investments in equipment, space, or technology. This course will give students foundational skills for starting a drawing practice that they can continue throughout their lives.
