Tom Colcord is a painter and educator currently living in San Francisco California. Originally from Indianapolis Indiana, Tom graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2013 with a BFA in Painting. Soon after he studied abroad in Italy where he visited the Venice Biennale, which inspired him to pursue art as a career. Next he moved to San Francisco where he received his MFA in studio art from the San Francisco Art Institute, completing his degree in 2017. Since he has worked as the Bay Area Representative for Gamblin Artist Colors and Strathmore Paper and taught art for the SFAI City Studio Program, and Drawn2Art Los Altos. He regularly exhibits with Glass Rice Gallery and Voss Gallery in San Francisco. He is currently the recipient of the Tournesol Award at the Headlands Center for the Arts.
