Pen & Ink Landscapes
2-4 hours | Studio Class
Students will use traditional bamboo dip pens and ink to make “en plein air” drawings of the view from their window or inside their apartment. These interior and exterior landscapes will help budding pen and ink artists see their homes and communities in an elegant new way!

The Three-Hour Portrait
In this three-hour workshop we will explore the fundamental properties of creating a portrait from start to finish. Diving deep into facial anatomy, we will approach drawing the face in segments, while learning the different technicalities of graphite and charcoal. Demonstrations will include glazing, blending, hatching, and cross hatching, in addition to a variety of other drawing techniques. No prior drawing experience is needed. Please bring graphite or charcoal drawing materials. Paper will be provided.
